R sacked out 20 minutes after getting home from a play date :)

We've been so spoiled by the good weather lately, that one lousy rainy day has me in quite the mood !!! I SO didn't want to go on this field trip this morning and I thought for sure they'd cancel it...but no, we were on. Once I resigned myself to the fact that we'd be getting wet and muddy I did have a good time, reluctantly.

I can't seem to get Miss R to SMILE...she looks so sullen in almost every picture I take of her that I hardly have any shots of her at all! The one above is a riot...she is completely sacked out mid bite. Things got ugly when I tried to wake her for a tub and dinner....she must have cried for at least an hour straight...LOUDLY!

Anywhoo...I'm off to do some designing (I need something to switch my mood around)!

Today's Sparklie's

• Made a cute new Tutu and I think I'll list them in the shop...what's the worst that can happen?
• Making spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and the meatballs are already done!
• I'm already looking forward to tomorrows sunny day and apple picking.
• Found out our friends are coming up Sunday to look at more properties near us and we'll probably hit the huge corn maze.
• The girls are quietly playing school in the playroom...please make it last!

Fire chief R after school yesterday...

I really need to pack up my 'office' so I can focus on how I'm going to set up my table for the craft fair Saturday. Every time I think I've done my last tee until after the fair, I come up with just one more I want to do. I was really hoping I'd get some really fun fabrics I had ordered from Japan in but that didn't happen...oh well! Gosh, I hope they don't come tomorrow otherwise I'll really want to keep playing :)

I've got something else up my sleeve for other 'i love plum' designs but will have to wait until those supplies arrive...I can't wait!!! Sorry, but you'll have to be kept in the dark until a later date...suspense, it's good for you!

Today's Sparklies:

• The weather is unseasonably warm and it's GREAT!
• It's going to be gorgeous Friday - Monday which is extra great since the girls don't have school until Tuesday.
• I'm ordering Pizza for dinner tonight!
• There's lots of chocolate in my house right now :)

This afternoon I started the first fire of the season! I even got it going on the first try!

Z at the park yesterday...I really couldn't get a great one of her so here's the best.

Ohhhh, this kid is getting to be a handful...you can 'get' her personality in this picture...from her facial expression to her leg lift.

I chased this kid around and around to get even ONE picture of her...she gave up in this one but not without making it perfectly clear she wasn't happy about it.


Today has been extremely busy for me...I think by the end of the week I'll definitely be sick and run down...boo hoo...but I can feel it coming on. I can't WAIT to post some of the cuteness I made today. I'll be sewing into the night just to get a few done and my orders complete. The craft fair is this weekend and I don't feel ready...AT ALL! Most likely I'll skip the gym all week just to have a couple hours almost to myself (S will be with me of course but she's easy :). I'm pooped...I'll talk to you tomorrow!

Went to bed WAY to late last night to post so here is yesterday's news.

Uncle Kenny came up for a visit and boy were the girls psyched! They absolutely adore him. Kenny is someone we have know for about 15 years! He is COVERED with the most gorgeous tattoos...you can see a bit of his arms while carrying R up to bed (he looks half asleep as well!). He's looking for a house in the Portsmouth/Rye area...somewhere where he can set up refuge Kennels for Pit Bulls (he trains and cares for them). C and I would be stoked if this were to happen!!!!

We skipped going to Apple Harvest Day and instead stayed home and climbed trees, rode bikes and hung around the house...I just didn't feel up to it this year! The girls didn't even notice so all the better. Ordered Chinese Food for dinner and everyone camped out in front of a movie while chowing...the girls loved this treat!

Today we're off to Newton to visit my Dad...it's his birthday today! We'll hit the 'wood' park which is this amazing playground you can literally get lost in (but in a good way). This will be my last hurrah for the week...I've really got to get working on making things for the craft fair. I am extremely nervous and feel overwhelmed and unprepared...HATE that!!

Okay...off to make the beds and vacuum...FUN!

• S helped me make a homemade chocolate b'day cake for Pop.

Finished that order before the mail came...phew! Now I've really got to hit the grindstone and get ready for this craft fair next weekend!

• need to label any tee's that haven't been done
• organize by size and season
• set up a mock table so I can tweek anything I don't like
• buy a piece of green fabric for the table cloth (sounds weird but I do have this thought out)
• make goody bags with business cards and chocolate in cellophane baggies to hand out
• make MORE shirts!!! yikes...I'm getting nervous!!!

So, both of the older girls had play dates this afternoon so it was just me and Miss S hanging out. We decided to make whoopie pies! Yum!

• I have home baked whoopie pies...that's a sparkly for darn sure!
• R was so excited to go to Madison's house today!
• C got home early.

my mess...

I've been up to my eyeballs in fabric today!
Trying to get five tee's designed and sewn in one day is no easy task! I accomplished all the designing and was able to get two sewn so far (it's just about 6pm) so we'll see if I can get at least one more done tonight. I'd love to get this order out by tomorrow afternoon!

The top photo is just a fraction of the mess that is my 'office' (cough, dining room table) and the bottom pic is Miss S making use of my measuring tape to take her baby for a walk....naked. You should have seen this child...running around at top speed 'giving baby a ride'....DSS....she DID NOT learn this from me!

I've been busy today trying to come up with a Koi fish design...this is the best I could do, what do you think? I think my dragon series is really turning into what I'll dub the Tattoo series with the new addition of the Koi. We've got some friends with AMAZING tattoos, the artwork so

Had four sales today!!! So now I'm off to the worst place on earth to see if they have any onesies in the requested size...it's all worth it though, I just LOVE making these tee's and knowing some little cutie out there is wearing a little piece of my heart.

Got some sewing done today and some more designing! I'll list these on etsy a bit later if time allows.

I've been pulled in every direction today...I'm stealing away to post this while R and her friend are digging out the insides of pumpkins...I'll regret this later).

So, the dragons are inspired by C and tattoos (something we both love :) He really likes the design and has been bugging me for awhile to do something more boyish...I'm not a truck, train, ball type of gal so dragons it is! I've got another one in the machine right now that has the coolest fabric EVER! You'll see that one later.

The Russian dolls are a continuation of my apron skirt design...I just love the fabric and have always been a big fan of the Matryoshka's for as long as I can remember.

I've got to pick out something from my shop to use as a give away on the Fabulous Fun Finds blog...any suggestions?

Okay...I have a feeling...a BAD feeling there are pumpkin guts all over my kitchen floor so I'm signing out...

• I'm so grateful I didn't die during my workout at the gym cause it sure felt like I was going to.
• The sun shone for a whole five minutes this afternoon.
• I'm going to make these delicious chocolate treats in a bit...if they turn out, I'll post the recipe :)

back in business but...

RAN OUT OF LIGHT!!!

Thankfully I took this picture this afternoon, outside...the three other tee's that I photographed tonight S.u.C.k.E.d!!!! I'll snap them when I get home from the gym and post them tomorrow. I've done a dragon series and would love to be able to do some tee's with Chinese symbols...The first one I tried didn't come out as well as I would have liked so I'm going to keep working at it.

Natasha, your tee is done!!! I'll get that out to you either tomorrow or Weds :)

• Got some sewing done!
• Made a yummy vegetable fried rice for dinner.
• I love Fall and the trees around here are AMAZING!! (photo to come).
• I found three small snack size m&m bags in S's room and ate all three 10 minutes before dinner to satisfy my chocolate craving :O....shhhhh, don't tell!

bits from the past couple o' days...

I just love this guy and hate to think of him getting smashed just to get to the treats inside...is it bad if I let them grab handfuls out of his back so I can use him as a decoration in the girls room?

oh and miss R put the blinders on his eyes...she's so cute!

I just love my chandelier...don't you? It's the one thing I had to bring from our first house...very understated.

So, for the past few days I've been without my creative outlet and I'm starting to go crAZy!! I can't wait for Sunday so I can dig everything back out. I'm showcasing this weekend on etsy so go to the children's section and you'll see one of my designs :)

I'll take as many pictures as I can tomorrow and one of the cake when it's finished. I'm decorating it with fresh pansies so I'm waiting for those touches to be added in the morning. The weather couldn't be any worse for our little shin dig so we're going to have to make the best of it!

Sparklies:

• Finished the pom poms...my fingers are killing me though I feel proud of myself for doing them without the kit...I hand cut, folded, wired, separated and hung each little ditty!
• Made the caramel apples which in the past have been a nightmare to make...today, it was a breeze!
• Z aced both her vocabulary test and her science test at school!
• Date night tomorrow and I can't wait!
• Took the girls to the pool this afternoon for a quick swim.
• S is already asleep!!!

note: I can't seem to do anything about the spacing on this post...it's driving me crazy too!!!

while daddie was trimming out one of our new doors and mommie was painting the side of our house (that's been three different colors for...oh, going on three years now). the girls got busy with their own messy project. this kept them busy for over an hour which was a pleasant surprise considering their attention span doesn't usually last that long...paint and glitter or no paint and glitter. i really love the top one that R did...it is SO her :) S's well, it's a nice glittery mess which is exactly how she is in real life...sweet girl. Z was busy at her BFF's so no artwork from her today!

sparklies:

• got half of the side of our house painted...just waiting for staging to be put up so i can finish it.
• virtually no sisterly spats today...which is both nice and uncommon.
• had a great time with friends last night.
• i think i killed all the fruit flies....ewwwww!

finally able to capture my little cafe curtain...don't know why i didn't think to take it at night before!
