the 72 buick...

i wish i could say this beauty was ours
it's a 72 buick gran sport
with a 455 motor
to me that means nothing other than the fact that
i was two when this car came out
and that the motor is 455lbs ;)
craig's dad is restoring this girl
the body still needs work but the interior is almost done
while i was at work saturday
craig and the girls cruised hampton
pretending the car was theirs
eating fried dough
and getting big thumbs up by all the spectators
who wished the car was theirs too

sleeping on daddy is like sleeping on a cozy cloud

peek-a-boo!

waiting patiently for lunch to come

i heart this shop
they always have the best windows

heading towards the main attraction
can you guess?

*
still playing catch up...
we took a quick trip to portsmouth saturday
had lunch and did a little birthday shopping
then zoomed home for me to get ready for work
it was such a nice day
i could have stayed there forever.
c-ya!

stella's valentine

i forgot to take a proper shot of stella's finished valentines
so here's a quick one done in the car
late for school...
again.
cute eh?
gosh,
these wednesdays are hard.
the alarm goes off just minutes after i finally fall asleep...
really.
getting everyone out the door on time is a constant (losing) battle.
*
it's finally snowing...
let it dump!!!
we need a little white to cover up the ugly, slushy, yellow pee snow :O
the kids need to get out there and play for a bit
get some fresh air.
i love the peace snow brings.
it's pretty coming down
and makes me feel like cooking and that being a little lazy is OK.
*
be back later with a 365

2/9/10

candy
lots of it
for VALENTINES
i'll show you when i'm done
i only wish i'd thought of it sooner
it would have made a nice lil' somethin' for my etsy shop
poor shop's been barren and lonely
haarrrrmphh.
candy is also good to bring to a party
and i'm going,
won't you come too??
*
me.
almost 40 :O
well, not until november.
i must always be doing something, moving constantly.
i am obsessed with my camera
and am training my eye to notice the ordinary and make it beautiful.
i love to work
and think it's ONE think i'm really good at.
my family is my life...my daughters my everything
my husband my rock, my world.
i'm constantly in search of me
and trying to make me a better, happier person.
i love to cook
and have lemon bars in the oven now.
that makes me very happy...
smell em?

portland children's museum

milked a cow
jumped inside a whales belly
nursed a sick bunny back to health.
learned about orion's belt
climbed a rock wall
was the star in a broadway play.
grocery shopped
put out a fire
became an artists palette.
all in a days play for these girls.
tooodles!

playdates make me crazy

because for three solid
uninterrupted hours
i have to be
a really, really good mother.
the kind that will...oh, you know
keep calm and carry on
the leave it to beaver type.
not the 'me' who had a migraine today,
took medicine,
and am now a grumpy mess.
i've got five REALLY loud little girls
flying around here like fairies on parade.
little miss
left out,
of course.
so i had to keep her b.u.s.y.
we made homemade chocolate cupcakes.
cleaned some acorn squash like nobody's business.
she spent a good hour playing with the seeds.
i heard her version of pinkalicious
about 500 times
it
was
greaaaaat ;)
our little house sounds like
an amphitheater...
the black eyed peas playing in the background.
see?
crazy loud.
all good though
lots of smiles.

1/23/10

and just for fun,,,

step away from the computer
get off picnik
go get ready for work
fold one more load of laundry
check on the pea soup that's probably boiling over
check movie times for craig
let the dog out
eat something
*
i literally could sit her all day
but that lil' list above is telling my butt
to get off the chair
and move
and so
on that note
peace out
see ya tomorrow!

ruby felt left out of our library trip
so we shot over there after school thursday
so she could have a turn
we stopped for a quick snack
at the fig tree
how cute this lil' cafe is!
located in the rollinsford mills
highly recommend their
oatmeal cookies

part two
of the museum shots
can i just say
i.love.my.camera!

1/7/10

museum

today i was a good mommy
i took stella to the children's museum
it was unexpected
sort of a whim
ok
i'm lying
sort of
i didn't do it to be nice :O
i did it because i love, love, lOvE
the light and colors
that swallow that place whole
i got some beautiful shots
she had fun
i had fun
it was fun!
until we left
i could feel a thumper coming on
i guess i was a bit short after telling stella to get in her car seat
eight hundred times
(not even exaggerating)
because she said to me 'wOw mom, you need a nap!'
hmmmm,
wonder where she got that from? ;)

I think I can, I think I can...

I don't know why but none of our girls could ever grasp how to peddle their tricycle!
I remember zooming around for hours on mine when I was little.
We'd make chalk roads, bridges to go over, gas stations.
Hours spent riding around and around.
Well.
Zoe and Ruby have accomplished learning to ride on their two wheelers and I think little Miss was starting to feel left out.
We went out for a bit yesterday and she tried like crazy.
Started out rough.
But after a few minutes of really, really trying...
SHE DID IT!
So proud of herself she was!
