day 7

museum

today i was a good mommy
i took stella to the children's museum
it was unexpected
sort of a whim
ok
i'm lying
sort of
i didn't do it to be nice :O
i did it because i love, love, lOvE
the light and colors
that swallow that place whole
i got some beautiful shots
she had fun
i had fun
it was fun!
until we left
i could feel a thumper coming on
i guess i was a bit short after telling stella to get in her car seat
eight hundred times
(not even exaggerating)
because she said to me 'wOw mom, you need a nap!'
hmmmm,
wonder where she got that from? ;)

project 365, day 6

so i think this is how i'm going to do this lil' project
i'll post my regular post
and have an additional photo shot labeled project 365 and the day
this way i can keep it organized
and we like that...organized ;)

i want to take a nap,
do nothing,
wave my magic wand and whip this house into shape
sit back and wait for someone else to do....
well, everything!

only nine more hours until i could possibly hit the hay
hoping that second wind comes quick
i've got a list a mile long

project 365

i kept seeing all these posts about project 365
where you take one photo a day
for 365 days
well, i can't just take one!
but i can pull my camera out everyday
if i commit myself to it
and i want to!
i want to get better and better
because
ummmmm,
perfectionist here!
so here are my shots for today
i cleaned up the playroom
and loved all the color
(even though it is one really BIG mess)
and stella wanted to paint
so i pulled them out
am i a bad mommy if anytime my kids want to do a messy project
i cringe?
anyways
i'll have you know those glorious colors are now one gigantic brown mess
i guess all the painting made her tired
because those are her stinky feet poking out to say hi
toodles

in the prettiest blue dress
she could find
around and around
moving to the music in her head

i thought it'd be hard waking up this morning
i guess it's not hard when you're sleeping with one eye open
i could.not.sleep last night!
i think it was because i knew my alarm was set
just waiting for it to go off
don't you just hate that?

with the girls off to school
i came home
finished that cute lil' number below for miss nancy
threw in some laundry
lit a fire
and cleaned up a bit

i had time to spare before picking up stella
at preschool
i went shopping
found a few great vintage treats
at
'just the thing'
they really do always have just the thing
lOvE that!

this week has flown by
school starts back up tomorrow :(
i've been quite happy sleeping past 6:30 everyday

snow, snow, snow
the kids are sledding
me?
trying to get some etsy stuff done
i need to for my sanity

quick vent about my beloved target
they have got to get real about their return policy!
it plain sucks
it didn't help that i probably got the only non-friendly person in there
don't worry target
you've got me hooked so i'll look past it

my sewing machine is calling
i've got to go
she's anxious to begin her next project
